Deer and Elk inhabit Rio Costilla Park in vast numbers. Visitors may see smaller game such as: Turkey, Ruffed Grouse or Golden Eagles. One may be fortunate enough to see Bear or Cougar and Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep frolicking in the sunlight.
